Michael Alkaraki joined Leahy & Hoste in February of 2006 as a law clerk
and was hired as an associate upon his admittance to the bar the following
November. During law school, Mr. Alkaraki worked for the Board of Education
of the City of Chicago, where he represented its Chief Executive Officer
in labor relations hearings and advised public school administrators on
issues of employee discipline and due process. Mr. Alkaraki prosecuted criminal
matters as a 711 law clerk in the Felony Trial Division of the Cook County
States Attorneys Office and interned with the Illinois Attorney Generals
Antitrust Bureau, where he assisted in monitoring and investigating various
forms of anticompetitive commercial activity. Mr. Alkaraki also served as
a Senior Editor of the Loyola Consumer Law Review and as a Student Clinician
at the Loyola Business Law Center.

Mr. Alkaraki is an active member of a variety of bar and professional organizations,
including the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois

Mr. Alkaraki received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Saint
Josephs College prior to attending and graduating from the Loyola
University Chicago School of Law.
